Chicken Donne Biryani
Short-grain rice simmered down with chicken, mint and green masala. Comes with raita and salan.
Freshly cooked. Shared with love.
Small-batch Bengaluru home cooking — donne biryani, curry-leaf kebabs, chicken saaru and everyday veg meals. Made fresh each morning, never pulled out of a freezer.
Our reason for existing
Not the long-grain, layered, saffron kind. Ours is the military-hotel style: seeraga samba rice cooked with the chicken in one pot, green from mint and coriander, finished with ghee. Served the traditional way, in a donne.
Why people keep reordering
Only pure ingredients. Nothing is coloured, nothing is stabilised, nothing lives in a freezer.

“The saaru is exactly how my mother makes it. I order it every Sunday with white rice now.”
Sowmya R. · Jayanagar“Kebab was still crisp when it reached the office. That basically never happens.”
Imran K. · Koramangala“Ordered the veg meal box for eight people at home. Not one item was oily or overdone.”
Prakash M. · RajajinagarWe keep the radius small on purpose, so the food arrives hot. If you're just outside, message us — we often still make it work.
Donne biryani is the Bengaluru style of biryani, traditionally served in a bowl made of dried areca leaf called a donne. It uses short-grain seeraga samba rice cooked together with the chicken and a green mint-coriander masala, rather than long-grain rice layered separately. The result is softer, greener and more peppery than Hyderabadi biryani.
